Meaning
Ressa said this in a 2019 Democracy Now interview, arguing that a free press protects every citizen's access to facts. When reporting is silenced, everyone loses the ability to hold power to account. Support independent news you trust by subscribing or sharing accurate reporting, not just consuming it.
