Gopal Krishna Gokhale

(1866–1915) was an Indian political leader and social reformer who played a key role in the early Indian independence movement. He was a senior leader of the Indian National Congress and a mentor to Mahatma Gandhi. Gokhale advocated for gradual reform, education, and constitutional methods to achieve self-rule. His efforts focused on improving social conditions and promoting political awareness.
