Harriet Tubman

(c. 1822–1913) was an American abolitionist and political activist who escaped slavery and became a leading figure in the fight against it. She helped hundreds of enslaved people gain freedom through the Underground Railroad, risking her life repeatedly. Tubman also served as a spy and nurse during the American Civil War. Her courage and determination made her a symbol of freedom and resistance. Harriet Tubman’s legacy continues to inspire movements for justice, equality, and human rights.
