Isaac Newton

(1643–1727) was an English mathematician, physicist, and astronomer widely regarded as one of the greatest scientists in history. He formulated the laws of motion and universal gravitation, laying the foundation for classical mechanics. Newton also made significant contributions to optics and calculus. His work, "Principia Mathematica," remains one of the most important scientific texts ever written.
