Dalai Lama
(born 1935) is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and a global advocate for peace, compassion, and nonviolence. The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, has spent much of his life promoting dialogue, understanding, and human values. After fleeing Tibet in 1959, he established a government-in-exile in India and continued to advocate for Tibetan autonomy.
