Herodotus
(c. 484–425 BCE) was an ancient Greek historian widely regarded as the ‘Father of History.’ His work "Histories" is one of the earliest recorded accounts of events and cultures of the ancient world, especially the Greco-Persian Wars. Herodotus combined storytelling with inquiry, documenting traditions, geography, and human behavior. Although some of his accounts are debated, his approach laid the foundation for historical writing. Herodotus’s legacy continues to influence how history is recorded, interpreted, and understood across cultures and generations.
